UNSUITABLE ACCOMMODATION: Dirt, Dust, and BLOOD-STAINED BLANKETS! (Horrible Experience) - Stay away! Positive: Only the position Negative: We booked two apartments for two families (ours and that of some friends), spending a total of nearly 1000 euros. The condition of the accommodations was downright deplorable and hygienically unacceptable. We're talking about floors completely covered in dust and visible dirt, hair scattered everywhere, and—most seriously—blankets stained with blood! Our friends, who have two small children, were forced to flee and leave the apartment after the first night. We tried to endure for two nights: the result was that we couldn’t sleep due to the disgust, and our son coughed continuously because of the huge amount of dust. Essentially, two nights wasted and a ruined stay. After the first night we asked the owner to clean the apartment so that we were not forced to leave: what he did was just to leave a MOP so that WE could clean it (see picture) Important additional information: The apartment is far too small for 3–4 people! It’s really tiny (only the bathroom is disproportionately large). There is a “bedroom” that’s just big enough to fit the bed, and a “living room” that’s only as wide as the unfolded sofa bed (which was quite disgusting to sleep in it). The owner of the apartments obviously disappeared as soon as he realized the seriousness of the situation. Booking.com's Customer Service, after some initial support, had an embarrassing and offensive conclusion: they decided not to refund the unjust expense, justifying it with the ridiculous argument that “the owner believes the house was fine".

Pleasant stay in a great location! Positive: Best location in Chartrons, a few steps from nearest tram. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. There are several nice perks from the management: a cleaning kit with tabs for washing machine and soap, sponges for dishes. This is definitely a nicety and not standard for renting an apartment. The terrace area is secluded for privacy. Coffee machine is available and there were even coffee pods for visitor use. The bath has a shower as well as a jacuzzi tub. Definitely enough towels provided. All in all a very pleasant stay. Negative: ./.

With a bit more attention to cleanliness and layout, this place could be a real gem. Positive: The apartment is located in a cool and lively neigborhood with easy-going vibe—great for exploring local cafés, restaurants and shops but also not far from the city center. The amenities were good, and the apartment had everything we needed for a short stay.We also liked that it had a small outside area, nice for relaxing coffee or breakfast in the morning. Negative: The floor was (still) dirty and the kitchen cabinet tops weren’t clean—there were visible marks from being wiped with a dirty cloth. The bathroom is nicely equipped with a good shower and jacuzzi bathtub but some floor and wall tiles were broken and showed signs of accumulated dirt. The bathroom felt quite big compared to te rest of the apartment and we felt like some of the space could have been better used—perhaps a closet or storage area instead—so there would be room to hang clothes or store suitcases. The apartment feels a bit cramped when the sofa bed is unfolded, requiring the dining table and chairs to be moved so you can no longer sit with 3 people at it. Also, the mattress of the fold-out sofa bed was not great and is in need of replacement to avoid back pain.

Buen barrio Positive: La ubicación en un barrio con mucha vida, bares y restaurantes. Parada de tranvía cerca. Tiene un baño grande y moderno pero le falta algún acabado. Negative: La habitación es muy pequeña, para aparcar es zona de pago y hay pocos sitios, parking de pago cercanos pero caros.
