Great location, but this is NOT an apartment Positive: The location of this apartment is absolutely perfect — just a short walk from Notre Dame and the river, with easy access to all the main attractions. Inside, the apartment was clean, well-equipped, and the bathroom was quite spacious. Overall, it had everything we needed for a short stay. Negative: This is not a typical apartment in a residential building, but rather a former commercial space converted into accommodation. The entrance leads directly from the street — there is no main building door, no intercom, and no additional layer of security. The front door is made of glass and has only a simple lock, which didn’t make us feel very safe. There are also no windows, so the only source of daylight comes from those same glass doors facing the street. Because of that, it’s not possible to let in any fresh air without opening the door directly to the sidewalk, which made us quite uncomfortable (there is AC, but it’s not the same). Every sound from outside was also very noticeable, making it feel like people passing by were almost inside with us. At one point, when we briefly opened the door during the day and forgot to lock it immediately, someone — claiming to be a courier — actually walked straight inside. It was a very unpleasant and alarming experience. None of this was mentioned in the property description, so we were completely unprepared for these conditions.
